Retail Pricing Tips
The MSRP is $7.75 per stick of deodorant. That price is between Tom’s (on the low end) and the majority of natural deodorants that are typically on the much higher end. If your store retails are rounded to 9s, then you might consider going to $7.79. At this time, there does not appear to be any reason to price the product less than $7.79; you may even want to price up to $7.99. $7.99 will get you very close to a 40 percent profit margin after adding freight cost.
Note: The product is available online from the manufacturer at $7.75; however, customers would have to pay freight and wait for delivery. Do not place the price tag on the front of the cap or the front of the product packaging.
Ordering Tip: Start with a mixed case of 24 items.
In women’s, I suggest:
- (5) Pinups & Paramours
- (5) Daggers & Diamonds
- (4) Rosaries & Revolvers
- (4) Virtues & Vices
For men’s, I suggest ordering:
- (3) Shotguns & Shenanigans
- (3) Fastballs & Fisticuffs
Request free sample with order.
Must do: Ask the vendor to add your store location to their website locator (under “RETAILERS”).
Merchandise the six SKUs horizontally on the shelf, leaving space for a small sign. Do not run out of stock; keep an eye on inventory, and reorder when you have no less than two of each item.
At time of writing, the vendor has no plans to make this product line available in dollar stores, chain stores of any kind, big box stores, or Amazon! This presents a great opportunity for you to highlight your unique offerings.
